ಸುಂದರಕಾಂಡ.
ಅಥ ಚತುಷ್ಷಷ್ಟಿತಮಸ್ಸರ್ಗಃ||

ಸುಗ್ರೀವೇಣೇವ ಮುಕ್ತಸ್ತು ಹೃಷ್ಟೋ ದಧಿಮುಖಃ ಕಪಿಃ|
ರಾಘವಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ಚೈವ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಂ ಚಾಽಭ್ಯವಾದಯತ್||1||
ಸ ಪ್ರಣಮ್ಯ ಚ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಂ ರಾಘವೌ ಚ ಮಹಾಬಲೌ|
ವಾನರೈಸ್ಸಹಿತೈಃ ಶೂರೈಃ ದಿವಮೇವೋತ್ಪಪಾತ ಹ||2||

ಸ|| ಹೃಷ್ಠಃ ಸುಗ್ರೀವೇಣ ಏವಂ ಉಕ್ತಃ ತು ದಧಿಮುಖಃ ರಾಘವಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಂ ಚ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಂ ಅಭ್ಯವಾದಯತ್||ಸಃ ಮಹಾಬಲೌ ರಾಘವೌ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಂ ಚ ಪ್ರಣಮ್ಯ ಶೂರೈಃ ವಾನರೈಃ ಸಹಿತಃ ದಿವಮೇವ ಉತ್ಪಪಾತ||

Thus told by pleased Sugriva, Dadhimukha bowed to Raghava, Lakshmana and Sugriva. He offered salutations to Raghava and Lakshmana as well as Sugriva and flew into the sky along with his followers.

ಸ ಯಥೈವಾಽಗತಃ ಪೂರ್ವಂ ತಥೈವ ತ್ವರಿತಂ ಗತಃ|
ನಿಪತ್ಯ ಗಗನಾದ್ಭೂಮೌ ತದ್ವನಂ ಪ್ರವಿವೇಶ ಹ||3|
ಸ ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟೋ ಮಧುವನಂ ದದರ್ಶ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾನ್|
ವಿಮದಾನ್ ಉತ್ಥಿತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವಾನ್ ಮೇಹಮಾನಾನ್ ಮಧೂದಕಮ್||4||

ಸ||ಸಃ ಪೂರ್ವಂ ಯಥಾ ಆಗತಃ ತಥೈವ ತ್ವರಿತಂ ಗತಃ ಗಗನಾತ್ ಭೂಮೌ ನಿಪತ್ಯ ತತ್ ವನಂ ಪ್ರವಿವೇಶ ಹ|| ಸಃ ಮಧುವನಂ ಪ್ರವಿಷ್ಟಃ ವಿಮದಾನ್ ಮಧೂದಕಂ ಮೇಹಮಾನಾನ್ ಉತ್ಥಿತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವಾನ್ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾನ್ ದದರ್ಶ||

Travelling the same path which he followed before, he went quickly and landed on the ground and entered that grove. He entered the Madhavaram and saw the Vanaras free from intoxication of honey, having passed water.

ಸ ತಾನುಪಾಗಮದ್ವೀರೋ ಬದ್ದ್ವಾ ಕರಪುಟಾಂಜಲಿಮ್|
ಉವಾಚ ವಚನಂ ಶ್ಲ‍‍ಕ್ಷ್‍ಣ ಮಿದಂ ಹೃಷ್ಟವದಂಗದಮ್||5||
ಸೌಮ್ಯರೋಷೋ ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯೋ ಯದೇತತ್ಪರಿವಾರಿತಂ|
ಅಜ್ಞಾನಾದ್ರಕ್ಷಿಭಿಃ ಕ್ರೋಧಾತ್ ಭವಂತಃ ಪ್ರತಿಷೇಧಿತಾಃ||6||

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಉಪಾಗಮತ್ ವೀರಃ ಅಂಗದಂ ಕರಪುಟಾಂಜಲಿಮ್ ಬದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಇದಂ ಶ್ಲ‍ಕ್ಷ‍ಣಂ ವಚನಂ ಉವಾಚ|ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಭವನ್ತಃ ರೋಷಃ ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಃ | ಏತತ್ ಯತ್ ಪರಿವಾರಿತಂ ರಕ್ಷಿಭಿಃ ಅಜ್ಞಾನಾತ್ ಕ್ರೋಧಾತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಷೇಧಿತಾಃ |

Having returned, he said with folded hands the following conciliatory words. ' Oh Prince of mild disposition ! You do not be harsh. Your companions were restrained out of our ignorance and anger '.

ಯುವರಾಜಃ ತ್ವಮೀಶಶ್ಚ ವನಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ|
ಮೌರ್ಖಾತ್ ಪೂರ್ವಂ ಕೃತೋ ದೋಷಃ ತಂ ಭವಾನ್ ಕ್ಷಂತುಮರ್ಹತಿ||7||
ಅಖ್ಯಾತಂ ಹಿ ಮಯಾ ಗತ್ವಾ ಪಿತೃವ್ಯಸ್ಯ ತವಾನಘ|
ಇಹೋಪಯಾತಂ ಸರ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಏತೇಷಾಂ ವನಚಾರಿಣಾಮ್||8||
ಸ ತ್ವ ದಾಗಮನಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಸಹೈಭಿರ್ಹರಿಯೂಧಪೈಃ|
ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟೋ ನತು ರುಷ್ಟೋಽಸೌ ವನಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರಧರ್ಷಿತಮ್||9||
ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟೋ ಮಾಂ ಪಿತೃವ್ಯಸ್ತೇ ಸುಗ್ರೀವೋ ವಾನರೇಶ್ವರಃ|
ಶೀಘ್ರಂ ಪ್ರೇಷಯ ಸರ್ವಾಂ ತಾನ್ ಇತಿ ಹೋವಾಚ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವಃ||10||

ಸ|| ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ತ್ವಂ ಯುವರಾಜಃ ಅಸ್ಯ ವನಸ್ಯ ಈಶಶ್ಚ | ಮೌರ್ಖಾತ್ ಪೂರ್ವಂ ಕೃತಂ ದೋಷಃ ಭವಾನ್ ಕ್ಷಂತುಂ ಅರ್ಹತಿ||ಅನಘಾ ! ಮಯಾ ಗತ್ವಾ ತವ ಪಿತೃವ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಸರ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಏತೇಷಾಂ ವನಚಾರಿಣಂ ಇಹ ಉಪಾಯಾತಂ ಅಖ್ಯಾತಮ್ ಹಿ ||ಸಃ ತ್ವತ್ ಆಗಮನಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟಃ | ತೇ ಪಿತೃವ್ಯಃ ವಾನರೇಶ್ವರಃ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ಅಸೌ ವನಂ ಪ್ರಧರ್ಷಿತಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ನ ತು ರುಷ್ಟಃ|| ತಾನ್ ಸರ್ವಾಂ ಶೀಘ್ರಂ ಪ್ರೇಷಯ ಇತಿ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವಂ ಮಾಂ ಉವಾಚ||

' Oh Mighty one ! You are the prince and the Lord of this grove. You can excuse this mistake done in foolishness. Oh Sinless one ! I went and told the elder brother of your father about the arrival of the Vanaras. He having heard about your arrival was pleased. The elder brother of your father, Sugriva hearing about the destruction of the grove he was not angry. The king told me " Send all of them here quickly."

ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ದಧಿಮುಖಸ್ಯೇದಂ ವಚನಂ ಶ್ಲ‌ಕ್ಷ‍ಣಮಙ್ಗದಃ|
ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ತಾನ್ ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠೋ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ವಾಕ್ಯ ವಿಶಾರದಃ||11||
ಶಂಕೇಶ್ರುತೋಽಯಂ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತೋ ರಾಮೇಣ ಹರಿಯುಥಪಾಃ|
ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣಂ ನೇಹ ನ ಸ್ಥ್ಸಾತುಂ ಕೃತೇ ಕಾರ್ಯೇ ಪರಂತಪಾಃ||12||

ಸ|| ದಧಿಮುಖಸ್ಯ ಇದಂ ಶ್ಲಕ್ಷಣಂ ವಚನಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಅಂಗದಃ ವಾಕ್ಯ ವಿಶಾರದಃ ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಟಃ ತಾನ್ ಅಬ್ರವೀತ್ ||ಪರಂತಪಾಃ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾಃ ಅಯಂ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತಃ ರಾಮೇಣ ಶ್ರುತಃ | ಶಂಕೇ ತತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯೇ ಕೃತೇ ಇಹ ಸ್ಥಾತುಂ ನಃ ನ ಕ್ಷಮಮ್||

Hearing those conciliatory words of Dadhimukha , Angada, the best of Vanaras, who is expert in use of words, spoke to them, the Vanaras. ' Oh Scorchers of enemies !, Elephants among the Vanaras ! This information has already been heard by Rama. I think that with the task having been accomplished it is not proper for us to stay here'.

ಪೀತ್ವಾ ಮಧು ಯಥಾಕಾಮಂ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಾ ವನಚಾರಿಣಃ|
ಕಿಂ ಶೇಷಂ ಗಮನಂ ತತ್ರ ಸುಗ್ರೀವೋ ಯತ್ರ ಮೇ ಗುರುಃ||13||
ಸರ್ವೇ ಯಥಾ ಮಾಂ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯಂತೇ ಸಮೇತ್ಯ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾಃ|
ತಥಾಽಸ್ಮಿ ಕರ್ತಾ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯೇ ಭವದ್ಭಿಃ ಪರವಾನಹಮ್||14||
ನಾಜ್ಞಾಪಯಿತು ಮೀಶೋಽಹಂ ಯುವರಾಜೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ಯದ್ಯಪಿ|
ಅಯುಕ್ತಂ ಕೃತಕರ್ಮಾಣೋ ಯೂಯಂ ಧರ್ಷಯಿತುಂ ಮಯಾ||15||

ಸ||ವನಚಾರಿಣಃ ಯಥಾಕಾಮಂ ಮಧು ಪೀತ್ವಾ ವಿಶ್ರಾನ್ತಾಃ ಕಿಂ ಶೇಷಂ | ಮೇ ಗುರು ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ಯತ್ರ ತತ್ರ ಗಮನಮ್||ಸರ್ವೇ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಃ ಸಮೇತ್ಯ ಮಾಮ್ ಯಥಾ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯನ್ತಿ ತಥಾ ಕರ್ತಾ ಅಸ್ಮಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯೇ ಅಹಂ ಭವದ್ಭಿಃ ಪರವಾನ್||ಅಹಂ ಯುವರಾಜಃ ಅಸ್ಮಿ | ಯದ್ಯಪಿ ಕೃತಕರ್ಮಾನಃ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯಿತುಂ ನ ಈಶಃ | ಯುಯಂ ಮಯಾ ಧರ್ಷಯಿತುಂ ಅಯುಕ್ತಂ||

Oh Forest dwellers! Having drunk honey and rested what is left ? We go to the place where our leader Sugriva is. I will follow whatever you all together tell me to do as our duty. I am the prince. I am not the lord to order you, who have accomplished the task. My ordering you is not proper.

ಬ್ರುವತಶ್ಚಾಂಗದಸ್ಯೈವಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ವಚನಮವ್ಯಯಮ್|
ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟೋ ಮನಸೋ ವಾಕ್ಯಮಿದಮೂಚುರ್ವನೌಕಸಃ||16||
ಏವಂ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯತಿ ಕೋ ರಾಜನ್ ಪ್ರಭುಃ ಸನ್ ವಾನರರ್ಷಭ|
ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಮದಮತ್ತೋ ಹಿ ಸರ್ವೋಽಹಮಿತಿ ಮನ್ಯತೇ||17||

ಸ|| ವನೌಕಸಃ ಏವಂ ಬ್ರುವತಃ ಅಂಗದಸ್ಯ ಏವಂ ಅವ್ಯಯಂ ವಚನಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ , ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟ ಮನಸಃ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಇದಂ ಊಚುಃ|| ವಾನರರರ್ಷಭ ರಾಜನ್ ಏವಂ ಕಃ ವಕ್ಷ್ಯತಿ | ಪ್ರಭುಃ ಇಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಮದಮತ್ತೋ ಹಿ ಸರ್ವಃ ಅಹಂ ಇತಿ ಮನ್ಯತೇ |

Hearing those words of Angada, the forest dwellers , delighted at being told thus, said the following. ' Oh Bull among the Vanaras ! Lord ! Who will say like this. Arrogant on account of prosperity kings think I am everything'.

ತವ ಚೇದಂ ಸುಸದೃಶಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ನಾನ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಕಸ್ಯಚಿತ್|
ಸನ್ನತಿರ್ಹಿ ತವಾಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ ಶುಭಯೋಗ್ಯತಾಮ್||18||
ಸರ್ವೇ ವಯಮಪಿ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಾಃ ತತ್ರ ಗಂತುಂ ಕೃತಕ್ಷಣಾಃ|
ಸ ಯತ್ರ ಹರಿವೀರಾಣಾಂ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ಪತಿರವ್ಯಯಃ||19||

ಸ|| ಇದಂ ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಸುಸದೃಶಂ ಅನ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಕಸ್ಯಚಿತ್ ನ | ತವ ಸನ್ನತಿಃ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ ಶುಭ ಯೋಗ್ಯತಾಮ್ ಆಖ್ಯಾತಿ ||ಸರ್ವೇ ವಯಂ ಅಪಿ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಾಃ ಯತ್ರ ಹರವೀರಾಣಾಂ ಅವ್ಯಯಃ ಪತಿಃ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ತತ್ರ ಗಂತುಂ ಕೃತಕ್ಷಣಾಃ ||

'These words are proper, not otherwise. Your humbleness speaks for good for bright future. We are already any moment to go to where our immortal Lord Sugriva is'.

ತ್ವಯಾ ಹ್ಯನುಕ್ತೈಃ ಹರಿಭಿರ್ನೈವ ಶಕ್ಯಂ ಪದಾತ್ಪದಮ್|
ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಗಂತುಂ ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಬ್ರೂಮಃ ಸತ್ಯಮಿದಂ ತು ತೇ||20||
ಏವಂ ತು ವದತಾಮ್ ಶೇಷಾಂ ಅಙ್ಗದಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುವಾಚ ಹ|
ಬಾಢಂ ಗಚ್ಚಾಮ ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತಾ ಖಂ ಉತ್ಪೇತುರ್ಮಹಾಬಲಾಃ||21||

ಸ|| ಹರಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ತ್ವಯಾ ಅನುಕ್ತೈಃ ಹರಿಭಿಃ ಪದಾತ್ ಪದಂ ಕ್ವಚಿತ್ ಗನ್ತುಂ ನ ಶಕ್ಯಂ | ಸತ್ಯಂ ಇದಂ ತೇ ಬ್ರೂಮಃ||ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಇದಂ ವದತಾಂ ಅಂಗದಃ ಬಾಡಂ ಗಚ್ಛಾಮ (ಇತಿ) ಪ್ರತ್ಯುವಾಚ ಹ| ಇತಿ ಉಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಮಹಾಬಲಾಃ ಖಂ ಉತ್ಪೇತುಃ||

'Oh Best of Vanaras ! Without your saying a word, it is not possible for the Vanaras to move one step. This is true. We are telling you '. When they said as above, Angada said 'very good, let us go'. Having said this the mighty ones flew into the sky.

ಉತ್ಪತಂತಮನೂತ್ಪೇತುಃ ಸರ್ವೇ ತೇ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾಃ|
ಕೃತ್ವಾಕಾಶಂ ನಿರಾಕಾಶಂ ಯಂತ್ರೋತ್ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಾ ಇವಾಚಲಾಃ||22||
ತೇಽಮ್ಬರಂ ಸಹಸೋತ್ಪತ್ಯ ವೇಗವಂತಃ ಪ್ಲವಙ್ಗಮಾಃ|
ನಿನದಂತೋ ಮಹಾನಾದಂ ಘನಾ ವಾತೇರಿತಾ ಯಥಾ||23||

ಸ||ಸರ್ವೇ ತೇ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಾಃ ಯನ್ತ್ರೋಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತಾಃ ಅಚಲಾಃ ಇವ ಆಕಾಶಂ ನಿರಾಕಾಶಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಉತ್ಪತಂತಂ ಅನೂತ್ಪೇತುಃ||ವೇಗವನ್ತಃ ತೇ ಪ್ಲವಂಗಮಃ ಅಂಬರಂ ಉತ್ಪತ್ಯ ವಾತೇರಿತಾ ಘನಾಃ ಇವ ಮಹಾನಾದಂ ನಿನದನ್ತಃ ||

All the Vanaras sprang into the sky as though there was no sky, like the stones scattered by machines from the mountains rise up. Having risen to the sky , the speedy fliers roared like the clouds driven by the wind.

ಅಙ್ಗದೇ ಸಮನುಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೇ ಸುಗ್ರೀವೋ ವಾನರಾಧಿಪಃ|
ಉವಾಚ ಶೋಕೋಪಹತಂ ರಾಮಂ ಕಮಲಲೋಚನಮ್||24||
ಸಮಾಶ್ವಸಿಹಿ ಭದ್ರಂ ತೇ ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ದೇವೀ ನ ಸಂಶಯಃ|
ನಾಗಂತು ಮಿಹ ಶಕ್ಯಂ ತೈಃ ಅತೀತೇ ಸಮಯೇ ಹಿ ನಃ||25||

ಸ||ಅಂಗದಃ ಅನುಪ್ರಾಪ್ತೇ ವಾನರಾಧಿಪಃ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ಶೋಕೋಪಹತಂ ಕಮಲಲೋಚನಂ ಉವಾಚ||ಸಮಾಶ್ವಸಿಹಿ | ತೇ ಭದ್ರಂ | ದೇವೀ ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ನ ಸಂಶಯಃ | ತೈಃ ಸಮಯೇ ಅತೀತೇ ಇಹ ನಃ ಆಗನ್ತುಂ ನ ಶಕ್ಯಂ ||

Before the arrival of Angada, the king of Vanaras, Sugriva told the lotus eyed lord stricken with grief. 'Trust me. Be blessed. The divine lady has been seen, without any doubt. With the time limit having been crossed they cannot be coming here otherwise '.

ನ ಮತ್ಸಕಾಶ ಮಾಗಚ್ಛೇತ್ ಕೃತ್ಯೇ ಹಿ ವಿನಿಪಾತಿತೇ|
ಯುವರಾಜೋ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ಪ್ಲವತಾಂ ಪ್ರವರೋಽಙ್ಗದಃ||26||
ಯದ್ಯಪ್ಯಕೃತಕೃತ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಈದೃಶಃ ಸ್ಯಾದುಪಕ್ರಮಃ|
ಭವೇತ್ ಸ ದೀನವದನೋ ಭ್ರಾಂತ ವಿಪ್ಲುತಮಾನಸಃ||27||

ಸ|| ಯುವರಾಜಃ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ಪ್ಲವತಾಂ ಪ್ರವರಃ ಅಂಗದಃ ಕೃತ್ಯೇ ವಿನಿಪಾತಿತೇ ಮತ್ಸಕಾಸಂ ನ ಆಗಚ್ಛೇತ್||ಅಕೃತಕೃತ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಃ ಈದೃಶಃ ಯದ್ಯಪಿ ಸ್ಯಾತ್ ಸಃ ದೀನವದನಃ ಭ್ರಾನ್ತವಿಪ್ಲುತಮಾನಸಃ ಭವೇತ್||

' The prince Angada , who is with strong arms , who is best among the fliers, without completing the task cannot be coming near me. Those who have completed their task will not be like this. They will be with piteous face , with unsteady mind'.

ಪಿತೃಪೈತಾಮಹಂ ಚೈತತ್ ಪೂರ್ವಕೈರಭಿರಕ್ಷಿತಮ್|
ನ ಮೇ ಮಧುವನಂ ಹನ್ಯಾದಹೃಷ್ಟಃ ಪ್ಲವಗೇಶ್ವರಃ||28||
ಕೌಸಲ್ಯಾ ಸುಪ್ರಜಾ ರಾಮ ಸಮಾಶ್ವಸಿ ಹಿ ಸುವ್ರತ|

ಸ|| ಪ್ಲವಗೇಶ್ವರಃ ಅಹೃಷ್ಟಃ ಪಿತೃಪೈತಾಮಹಂ ಪೂರ್ವಕೈಃ ಅಭಿರಕ್ಷಿತಂ ಮೇ ಮಧುವನಂ ನ ಹನ್ಯಾತ್ | ಕೌಸಲ್ಯಾ ಸುಪ್ರಜಾಃ ಸುವ್ರತ ರಾಮ ಸಮಾಶ್ವಸಿಹಿ||

'The best of fliers if he is not happy, he would not have destroyed the Madhavaram which is protected from my father's and grandfather's time'.

ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ದೇವೀ ನ ಸಂದೇಹೋ ನ ಚಾನ್ಯೇನ ಹನೂಮತಾ||29||
ನ ಹ್ಯನ್ಯಃ ಕರ್ಮಣೋ ಹೇತುಃ ಸಾಧನೇಽಸ್ಯ ಹನೂಮತಃ|
ಹನೂಮತಿ ಹಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಶ್ಚ ಮತಿಶ್ಚ ಮತಿಸತ್ತಮ||30||
ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಶ್ಚ ವೀರ್ಯಂ ಚ ಸೂರ್ಯೇ ತೇಜ ಇವ ದ್ರುವಮ್|
ಜಾಂಬವಾನ್ಯತ್ರ ನೇತಾಸ್ಯಾದಂಗದಶ್ಚ ಬಲೇಶ್ವರಃ||31||
ಹನುಮಾಂಶ್ಚಾಪ್ಯಥಿಷ್ಠಾತಾ ನ ತಸ್ಯ ಗತಿರನ್ಯಥಾ|
ಮಾಭೂಶ್ಚಿಂತಾ ಸಮಾಯುಕ್ತಃ ಸಂಪ್ರತ್ಯಮಿತವಿಕ್ರಮಃ||32||

ಸ|| ದೇವೀ ದೃಷ್ಟಾ | ನ ಸಂದೇಹಃ| ನ ಚ ಅನ್ಯೇನ | ಹನುಮತಾ | ಅಸ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮಣಃ ಸಾಧನೇ ಹೇತುಃ ಹನೂಮತಃ|| ಮತಿಸತ್ತಮ ಹನೂಮತಿ ಸೂರ್ಯೇಃ ತೇಜಃ ಇವ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಶ್ಚ ಮತಿಶ್ಚ ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಶ್ಚ ವೀರ್ಯಂ ಚ ಧೃವಂ||ಯತ್ರ ನೇತಾ ಜಾಂಬವಾನ್ ಸ್ಯಾತ್ ಮಹಾಬಲಃ ಅಂಗದಶ್ಚ ಹನುಮಾಂಶ್ಚ ಅಧಿಷ್ಠತಾ ತಸ್ಯ ಗತಿಃ ಅನ್ಯಥಾ ( ನ ಭವೇತ್)||ಅಮಿತವಿಕ್ರಮಃ ಸಂಪ್ರತಿ ಚಿನ್ತಾ ಸಮಾಯುಕ್ತಃ ಮಾಭೂಃ|

'The divine lady has been seen by Hanuman. No others. The reason for the achievement of this task is Hanuman. The intelligent Hanuman with brilliance of the Sun, certainly has the intelligence, the effort , and the valor and the capacity to succeed. Where Jambavan is the leader and Hanuman and Angada are the guiding forces, the result will not be otherwise. You are extremely valiant. This is not the time to be worried'.

ತತಃ ಕಿಲಕಿಲಾಶಬ್ದಂ ಶುಶ್ರಾವಾಸನ್ನಮಂಬರೇ|
ಹನುಮತ್ಕರ್ಮ ದೃಪ್ತಾನಾಂ ನರ್ದತಾಂ ಕಾನನೌಕಸಾಮ್||33||
ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧಾಮುಪಯಾತಾನಾಂ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಂ ಕಥಯತಾ ಮಿವ|

ಸ||ತತಃ ಹನುಮತ್ಕರ್ಮ ದೃಸ್ತಾನಾಂ ನಾರ್ಧತಾಮ್ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಂ ಕಥಯತಾಂ ಇವ ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧಾಂ ಉಪಾಯಾತಾನಾಂ ಕಾನನೌಕಸಾಂ ಅಂಬರೇ ಆಸನ್ನಂ ಕಿಲಕಿಲಾಶಬ್ದಂ ಶುಶ್ರಾವ||

At that time the forest dwellers arrived at Kishkindha roaring, being proud of Hanuman's success having successfully completed their task, and their chattering noise could be heard.

ತತಃ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ನಿನಾದಂ ತಂ ಕಪೀನಾಂ ಕಪಿಸತ್ತಮಃ||34||
ಅಯತಾಂಚಿತಲಾಂಗೂಲಃ ಸೋಽಭವದ್ದೃಷ್ಟಮಾನಸಃ|
ಅಜಗ್ಮುಸ್ತೇಽಪಿ ಹರಯೋ ರಾಮದರ್ಶನಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಣಃ||35||
ಅಙ್ಗದಂ ಪುರತಃ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಹನೂಮಂತಂ ಚ ವಾನರಮ್|

ಸ|| ತತಃ ಸ ಕಪಿಸತ್ತಮಃ ಕಪೀನಾಮ್ ತಂ ನಿನಾದಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಅಯತಾಂಚಿತ ಲಾಂಗೂಲಃ ಹೃಷ್ಟಮಾನಸಃ ಅಭವತ್||ತೇ ಹರಯಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಅಂಗದಂ ವಾನರಂ ಹನೂಮಂತಂ ಪುರತಃ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ರಾಮದರ್ಶನಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಣಃ ಆಜಗ್ಮುಃ||

Then that chief of Vanaras hearing the roar of the Vanaras was extremely happy. He kept raising and shaking his long tail. The Vanaras with Angada and Hanuman in the front landed, desirous of seeing Rama.

ತೇ ಅಙ್ಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖಾವೀರಾಃ ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟಾಶ್ಚ ಮುದಾನ್ವಿತಃ||36||
ನಿಪೇತುರ್ಹರಿರಾಜಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ರಾಘವಸ್ಯ ಚ|
ಹನುಮಾಂಶ್ಚ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ಪ್ರಣಮ್ಯ ಶಿರಸಾ ತತಃ||37||
ನಿಯತಾಮಕ್ಷತಾಂ ದೇವೀಂ ರಾಘವಾಯ ನ್ಯವೇದಯತ್|

ಸ|| ಅಂಗದಪ್ರಮುಖಾಃ ತೇ ವೀರಾಃ ಪ್ರಹೃಷ್ಟಶ್ಚ ಮುದಾ ಅನ್ವಿತಾಃ ಹರಿರಾಜಸ್ಯ ರಾಘವಸ್ಯ ಚ ಸಮೀಪೇ ನಿಪೇತುಃ ||ತತಃ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರಣಮ್ಯ ದೇವೀಂ ನಿಯತಾಂ ಅಕ್ಷತಾಂ ರಾಘವಾಯ ನ್ಯವೇದಯತ್||

ಅಂಗದಪ್ರಮುಖುಲು ವೀರುಲು ಸಂತೋಷಮುತೋ ವಾನರಾಧಿಪತಿ ಕಿ ರಾಘವುನಕು ಸಮೀಪಮುಲೋ ದಿಗಿರಿ. ಅಪ್ಪುಡು ಮಹಾಬಾಹುವುಲು ಕಲ ಹನುಮಂತುಡು ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಂಚಿ " ದೇವಿ ನಿಯಮಬದ್ಧುರಾಲೈ ಕ್ಷೇಮಮುಗಾ ಉನ್ನದಿ" ಅನಿ ರಾಘವುನಕು ನಿವೇದಿಂಚೆನು.

ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ದೇವೀತಿ ಹನುಮದ್ವದನಾತ್ ಅಮೃತೋಪಮಂ|
ಆಕರ್ಣ್ಯ ವಚನಂ ರಾಮೋ ಹರ್ಷಂಆಪ ಸಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಃ||38||
ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥಃ ತತಃ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಃ ಪವನಾತ್ಮಜೇ||
ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಃ ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರೀತಂ ಬಹುಮನಾದವೈಕ್ಷತ|

ಸ|| ಸಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಃ ರಾಮಃ ಹನುಮತ್ ವದನಾತ್ ಅಮೃತೋಪಪಂ ದೃಷ್ಟಾ ದೇವೀ ಇತಿ ವಚನಂ ಆಕರ್ಣ್ಯ ಹರ್ಷಂ ಆಪ||ತತಃ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಃ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಪವನಾತ್ಮಜೇ ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಾರ್ಥಂ ಪ್ರೀತಂ ಸುಗ್ರೀವಂ ಬಹುಮಾನಾತ್ ಅವೈಕ್ಷತ||

ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣುನಿತೋ ಕೂಡಿನ ರಾಮುಡು ಹನುಮಂತುನಿ ವದನಮುನುಂಡಿ ಅಮೃತಮು ತೋ ಸಮಾನಮೈನ "ಸೀತನು ಚೂಚಿತಿಮಿ " ಅನ್ನ ಮಾಟಲನು ವಿನಿ ಆನಂದ ಭರಿತುಲೈರಿ. ಅಪ್ಪುಡು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣುಡು ಆ ಪವನಾತ್ಮಜುನಿಪೈ ನಮ್ಮಕಮು ಚೂಪಿನ ಸುಗ್ರೀವುನಿ ಅತಿ ಗೌರವಮುತೋ ಚೂಚೆನು.

ಪ್ರೀತ್ಯಾ ರಮಮಾಣೋಽಥ ರಾಘವಃ ಪರವೀರಹ||
ಬಹುಮಾನೇನ ಮಹತಾ ಹನುಮಂತ ಮವೈಕ್ಷತಾ||39||

ಸ|| ಪರವೀರಹ ರಾಘವಃ ರಮಮಾಣಃ ಉಪೇತಃ ಮಹತಾ ಬಹುಮಾನೇನ ಹನುಮನ್ತಂ ಅವೈಕ್ಷತ||

The slayer of heroic enemies Raghava entered a state of delight and glanced at Hanuman with unbounded affection.

ಇತ್ಯಾರ್ಷೇ ಶ್ರೀಮದ್ರಾಮಾಯಣೇ ಆದಿಕಾವ್ಯೇ ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕೀಯೇ
ಚತುರ್ವಿಂಶತ್ ಸಹಸ್ರಿಕಾಯಾಂ ಸಂಹಿತಾಯಾಮ್
ಶ್ರೀಮತ್ಸುಂದರಕಾಂಡೇ ಚತುಷ್ಷಷ್ಟಿತಮಸ್ಸರ್ಗಃ||

Thus ends the Sarga sixty four of Sundarakanda in Ramayana , the first poem ever composed in Sanskrit by the first poet sage Valmiki ||
